The Role of Technician

As a technician with us, you will be a key person in keeping our simulation and training environment functioning. You are the first point of contact when users need support and work both proactively and problem-solving in daily operations. You will work together with a stable team of engaged colleagues with different areas of responsibility within clinical training, learning, and simulation. The role suits you if you want to develop within technical support, digital media, and educational technology.

Your main responsibilities:

Receive, register, and resolve support cases within simulation activities, IT, and digital services.
Provide clear and pedagogical guidance to users on-site and remotely.
Troubleshoot basic network-related issues (WiFi, connectivity, IP addresses, etc.).
Ensure that simulators, computers, and associated equipment are functioning and up to date.
Administer and support the booking portal for premises, equipment, and digital resources.
Support users in managing video and audio recording systems.
Film and edit simple instructional videos and contribute to documentation.
Support the production and publication of digital learning.

The position is a full-time parental leave substitute from 2026-03-02 to 2026-08-28. Working hours are mainly during office hours, and your primary location will be at Metodikum in Jönköping. Travel within the county may occur, so it is a prerequisite that you hold a B driver's license.

The Organization You Will Work Within

Metodikum is a specialized development and training unit where employees in healthcare and social services are offered the opportunity for simulation training, skills training, as well as courses and education based on needs in clinical practice.

Your Profile

You enjoy helping others and find it easy to understand the user's situation. You are curious, learn quickly, and thrive in working at the intersection of technology, education, and service.

We would like you to have:

High school IT education, YH education, or equivalent experience.
Basic understanding of networks (IP addresses, WiFi, troubleshooting).
Interest in digital media, audio/video, or educational production.
Good communication skills in Swedish and English.

Meritorious:

Experience in IT support or customer service.
Experience in video editing and/or audio management.
Experience with learning platforms or booking systems.
